Pondicherry Lighthouse is now open for visitors. Before, You watched the lighthouse from the town. Now, You can watch the town from the top of the lighthouse. The Three-year wait is over from the year 2020 it is closed for visitors. The beauty of Pondicherry is experienced at this Place. You can watch the beach and the whole town from this Place.

Pondicherry Lighthouse Ticket Price

The Ticket Price is Rs 5/- for Children(03 years to 12 years) and Rs 10/- for Adults. For the Camera, the ticket price is Rs 25/-. And for Foreigner, the ticket price is Rs 25/-. And Every Monday is closed for Maintenance. The Visiting hours for this Place are from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

How to reach here?

The Lighthouse is 1 KM from the railway station and 3 KM from the Pondicherry bus stand. It is on the way to the famous Pondy Marina Beach. You Can hire an auto or rent a bike to reach here.

Carry a water bottle along with you because to reach the top, you have to climb more steps. The Stairs are constructed like the keys of a Piano which leads you to the top of the lighthouse. You have to take 200 Plus steps to reach the top and worth for the bird’s eye view. There are two lighthouses in Pondicherry. The Old lighthouse was modified into a Museum and the new lighthouse is used for viewpoint to visitors.
